Hens and chickens are kept in every house in both town and country. They are a very useful stock to have. Their eggs are very useful, and are used in many ways. The end of spring is the right season for setting eggs. Hen-eggs take three weeks to come out, while others , such as turkeys and geese take four weeks. Hens like to be set where they first hatch.
