   Long ago a man named Brian Ruadh lived in Rachmhisleán. One day he sold a cow at the fair. The man he sold the cow to did not pay him that day but promised he would come to the house that night and pay him. The man kept his word and went to Brian's house that night with a large sum of gold. Brian thanked the buyer and went home. During the night Brian became uneasy that the gold would be stolen. He wrapped the gold in a horse's hide and set off to *isadrone bog to hide it. It was a moonlight night when he came to the bog-hole where the moon was shining. That will be a mark for me he said to himself. Sometime afterwards the man went to look at the gold, but he could
