    He got his mother's blessing and went to seek his fortune. He was a whole day travelling and failed to get work. He asked a farmer for employment but he said he only employed natives. He travelled as far more the second day. He asked work and got the same reply in this house. The third day, at night-fall, he came to the gate of a castle. There were fifty steps up to the gate. On the gate was written "Smart Boy wanted in Giants Causeway."
    He went to the hall door and a girl told him he was as well off not to have anything to do with the place.
    She told the master who was a magician. He ordered the boy to sign an agreement that he should be beheaded if unable to do the work.
    He saw a beautiful lady in a glass-case who smiled and beckoned to him.
    He did not notice her.
