    He went to see his mother. His wife gave him plenty of money but found him not to kiss anyone. A pup liked his lips and he forgot his wife.
    He began building a castle at home. He bought a big farm and stock. The neighbours were surprised. Gentlemen wanted him to marry their daughters. He used to lodge in a hotel and he agreed to marry a daughter of the proprietor. Arrangements were made for the wedding.
    The night before was wet and a rap came to the door. A poor woman came in and asked permiss-ion to go to fire. The boy told her she could stay the night. She asked him wasn't he going to get married. She told him one woman there was, herself, who would safe his life, if need be
