    Thomas were prominent figures at that time.
    When Thomas heard that Pat was killed he swam across the River to see if it was true. When he found his brother dead, he put him on his shoulder and waded across the River again and had him buried in Kilgobbin.
    A few days after Thomas was killed at the Battle that was fought between Cromwell's soldiers and the Irish.
    It was in the year seventeen - ninty- eight this Battle was fought in Kilgobbin.
