    a hen and all of them began to cackle. The man told his wife to get up and see what was wrong. He heard a plunge and the fox got away with a hen. In the morning they missed a hen gone. Then she said to the man that she would manage the fox next time.
    She told him that she would get up in the dark with out making any rouse to hold the fox within. And he was to get up and light the candle. And the fox finding that the trap hole was closed he jumped up on the old man's back and up the chimney with a hen.
    So the poor man suffered on account of the fox tearing his back with his nails. And
