- Long years ago there lived a man named Martin Maughan in our house. He was a very pleasant old man. When he used to go into town he would take some drink. And when he would be coming home he used to stumble into the shoughs and he would say is it a shough to hold me. Then he used to be fighting with people on the road and no person on the road but his own shadow. When he used to have his tea it was at the fire he would take it.
