must give a friendly answer to each one of them who speak to you"
John Quinn thanked his unknown friend and hurried on. He met the fairies at the exact spot where he was told and there was an endless multitude passing him, and each one who spoke to him he gave them an answer, and was answering so long and so fast that he became exhausted and was ready to drop with all he had answered when the crowd disappeared in the wind laughing. He took good care not to go home late again.
