A Story
“There was once two brothers. One of them was a drunkard.”
There was once two brothers. One of them was a drunkard. They had no money to live on so they said they would go to the crossroads for a year and see how much they could get. When the year was up the wise man had ten pounds and the drunkard had only two pence. The drunkard said I will toss you for it. All right said the wise man so the drunkard won the money the clothes off his back and the two eyes out of his head. He went along crawling until he came to an old castle. He went in and there was no one or nothing in it but an old barrel. He went under the barrel and it was not long after until a crowd of wild cats came with a goat. The leader said: "Who will kill the goat". You are the strongest said a little cat. So he killed the goat and they ate her. "Who will tell a story now" said the leader. "I will" said the small cat. - I was passing by the king's castle the other day(continues on next page)- Collector
