    Seán was a very strong man, and (he) cut the bush with two (three) blows of an axe. The little crippled creatures surprised Seán by telling him that he cut a bush in "Walsh's fort" with two blows of an axe. This of course was true, but Seán denied it.
    The little man told him to take the shortest path across the field to the "fort", and that he would take the longest, but he would be these before him. Things happened just as he had said. When Seán had reached the "fort" the little man told him the same thing as he had told him at his home.
