the railway fence. This railway is running from Ballina to Foxford. It was a thatched school, and as the train was passing the roof caught fire from a spark, which had flown from the engine of the train.
It was roofed again, but this time it was a galvanized roof, and the children were taught in the school for about three years afterwards.
This school was also condemned, and removed about 200 yards to the north. This was a better, and nicer school, with a slated roof. It is still to be seen on the side of the Rehins road. It is kept in very good repair by the teachers. Its name is Rehins Nationals School
