- Most of the people around the district have spinning wheels. They always spin their own thread on them. First of all they oil the wool. Then they card it. When it carded they spin it. Some spinning wheels are small others are big. You work each of them in a different way. The small one is worked like a foot machine. You have to keep the of the big one spinning by hand. It is not right to spin after twelve o clock at night.(continues on next page)
