If a person came into a house smoking a pipe and the inhabitants of the house churning. They would not let the man leave the house until the process of the churning would be finished in fear that he would bring the butter with him.
If a person went out on the morning of 1st of May before the dew goes off the grass and milk a cow of his neighbour the would have the butter of all the cows of that particular person.(continues on next page)- Collector
