- A great storm occurred in the year 1932. The clouds ran madly in the sky; houses were felled, stock were killed and many trees fell across the road. Many lives were lost by the falling of trees and slates. The wind of 1839 blew roofs off houses twenty miles away.
Ricks of hay were damaged in our district. A thunder storm occurred twenty years ago and it was accompanied by heavy rain and lightening. It killed numbers of sheep and cattle. All land by the river sides was flooded.
Houses were invaded and two soldiers lost their lives in Fermoy. A great snow storm occurred in 1936. Snow was twenty feet in places and one life was lost.- Collector
