In the year 1922 the Republicans stole meat from the Bacon Factory, Cappoquin and brought it out to the people of Ballysaggart. They buried it. It got rotten. Many people ate it and died of Enteric Fever. - About the year 1900 Mr. Stuart of Dromana was drowned. He happened to be out touring in his yacht when it overturned and unfortunately he was drowned. About three years after, two of his men were drowned in the same way. A widow-woman, because of the hanging of her son, cursed the Stuart and that the curse would follow seven generations.A Burning
