- my district in the years 1933 and 1937. The snow was 6 ft. deep in places and the people in motor-cars had to take shovels with them on their journeys to pile up the snow . Lorries got stuck in places and animals were frozen to death.
Drought Periods
in the year 1915 a great drought occurred around the district of Lismore. People had to walk three and four miles for water and even sometimes they would return without any. Many cattle were killed by this great drought.(continues on next page)- Informant

One March in the year 1917 a great storm occurred in Camphire in the parish of Cappoquin, Co. Waterford. The wind did great
