(continued from previous page)and appetising plate of meat was brought to him. The man who offered it said "Surely you will not refuse to eat this" and the monk answered -
"I will not eat it" nor "will the dogs eat it". With that the dogs were called, the plate of meat was laid on the ground, and every dog in the kennel refused to touch it.
The imprisoned monk was not offered meat on Friday after that.
