  2. In Knockaderry there lived a man named John Mackey who had the privilege of stopping blood. There is one story told about this man. The story is that one day the hunt was in barriganure when one of the horses in jumping the fence his leg struck a rock on the other side and gave himself a severe cut so they brought him to John Mackey and he stopped the blood. John Mackey cured the horse with a charm.
