    with a strange pain in his head. He put his hand to his head and to his horror his thick black hair was completely gone leaving his head quite bald. Immediately he thought of the stolen cups. He went to his pocket to get them but alas instead of the beautiful little cups he found only a handful of cockle-shells. So the fairies punished him for his covetousness and deprived him of the cups, too.
