- There is only one rock in this parish of any interest. It is at Sheehans Gate in Mothel. It is said that long ago it was the boundary stone of the holy grounds. There is writing on it. The name of the boundary stone is "Cloch na Comaraighe"There are three stones in Maurice Briens farm of Oldgrange with a flat stone on top of them. It is said that long ago it was the "druids altar". There are stones at the other side of Croughawn with some strange writing on them. There was also a big wooden cross on the top of Croughawn some time ago. There is a big rock in Knockaturney which is split in two. It is said two men had an argument near this rock long ago and it split in two and spoke and told which was right.
