- Severe Weather
About ten years ago there was a big flood in the river Clodagh. It was in April 1928.It lasted four days. There was a lot of damage caused by it. There was a bridge at Glenstown, Clonea and the flood went over it. There is another bridge at Clonea the flood had not enough room to get under it so it spread over the village. Pigs, hay and lots of other things were taken away by that flood. About thirty years ago there was a great thunderstorm in this district. A great deal of damage was caused by it.- Collector
