    Lord Waterford was the landlord of this district.

    lived in Moominane, Clonea, were evicted from their farms and houses. Two members of one family went o South Africa. The other family built a hut of timber by the river which bounded their farm at one side. They lived there for thirty years. Then one surviving daughter got back half her farm. the other half was given to a woman who had been evicted in Rathgormac.
