   Many old men and women around my district are able to make many prophecies about the weather. I have often noticed that when a shower of rain comes, the hens run and seek cover and I have since learned from the old men that it is a sign of a wet day. I have also learned that if you see a horse standing with his back to a wall there is going to be wet weather. I have often seen a cat sitting with his back to the fire and I have found out from my father that it is a sign of a snowstorm.
