- On a field called the clump field – a field on the left hand side of the road which leads to the Mill Lane is a circular mound about eighteen feet in diameter surrounded by a hedge of white thorn. Inside this hedge ditch or wall of clay which is gapped and uneven here and there.
There is a slight hollow in the centre of the mound. There are three elm growing on the mound.
Farmers would not allow their cows to graze on this mound. Some say it is a Lios. and that fairies live underground in it.
