- We have many festival customs in Ireland. The 6th of January is old Christmas Day. It is said that if the Christmas decorations are not removed by then they will bring bad luck.
St. Patricks Day is 17th March
it is a National Holiday and every body wears shamrock in their hats or coats.
On Shrove Tuesday we have pancakes
The 1st April is called April Fool's Day. We get hot cross buns and on Easter Sunday morning we get chocolate eggs.
Halloween is on the last day of October. We get apples and nuts and barn bricks and at night time we go out for nuts.
Christmas is on the 25th December. Christmas is the birth of our Lord. We get many presents at Christmas.
On St. Stephen's Day the go out hunting the wren they sing and play and get money.Gordon Lambert
