- At Cabinteely in County Dublin there is a wood in which there is a Druid's alter where centuries ago the Druid's offered sacrifice to their gods. This is the remains of pagan times, but nor far away at Cabinteely or Cabán tSíghle which means Sheila's cabin there are remains of christian times.There is a ruin of an old hut which was supposed to be built by Sheila one of the daughters of the King of Killiney, and here she taught embroidery and other useful things to the young girls of the district.A year or two ago when a man was ploughing a field near Cabinteely he came on a number of(continues on next page)
