  1. One of the cures in our district is for corns. The people used to get a handful of snails and boil them, then while they were hot they used to put them on their corns. Another is for warts. People got as many small stones as they had warts and put them in a bag. then they tied the neck of the bag and placed it on the roadside. Their belief was that the person found the bag and opened it got their warts. When they got a sty in their eye they got a wedding ring and made the sign of the cross, on the eye-lid and the sty went.
