    Once upon a time there lived a little girl and her age was seven years, and her little brother whose age was nine years.

    wanted to see if he would do anything for them. The man did not heed them and told them to be off. So the children went out the back way and in the yard there was a very cross dog and he was eating his dinner of soup and potatoes. The children saw the dog. This dog would not let anyone go near him but the man who used to feed him. The children went over to the dog’s dinner and the dog moved back. They thought that the dog would bite them but the dog was only telling them to eat their fill. When the farmer looked out he was very angry with the dog and he came out and rushed at the dog and made to put away the children but the dog made a snap at the man. The dog knew that the children were friends of this man. So the man brought in the children
