    (2) Gooseberry stabs for sty on the eye. One must go to a goatberry bush pull ten stabs then throw away one and point the other nine to the sty one by one very soon the sty will disappear.
    (3) The application of a roasted onion to a sore ear will cure it
    (4) A stocking of roasted salt tied round a person’s neck is an old cure for a sore throat
    (5) The disease called the Mumps is cured in the following way; The Winkers of a Doney are put on the sick person and he is lead to a stream between two townlands. The person must drink some of the water and this process must be done three times before the cure is completed.
    (6) Nettle-tea got by boiling nettles is an old cure for blood-purifying.
    (7) Mistletoe for St. Vitus Dance.
