One must go to a goatberry bush pull ten stabs then throw away one and point the other nine to the sty one by one very soon the sty will disappear.(3) The application of a roasted onion to a sore ear will cure it(4) A stocking of roasted salt tied round a person’s neck is an old cure for a sore throat(5) The disease called the Mumps is cured in the following way; The Winkers of a Doney are put on the sick person and he is lead to a stream between two townlands. The person must drink some of the water and this process must be done three times before the cure is completed.(6) Nettle-tea got by boiling nettles is an old cure for blood-purifying.(7) Mistletoe for St. Vitus Dance.
