    Answer:
    The man had only one eye, and there were two apples on the tree, and he took one off it and left [one] on it.
    Riddle:
    There was a sick boy in the hospital one time and a man went to see him. When he went there the people in the hospital asked him what he was to this boy and he said, "Here I am a bird alone; brother and sister I have none but the sick boy's father is my father's son".
    Answer:
    He was his father.
    Riddle:
    I have a wee mare with an iron throat as fast as she gallops she swallows the rope.
    Answer:
    A spinning wheel.
    Riddle:
    What never was nor never will be look at your hand and that you will see.
    Answer:
    Your small finger because it is not as large as the three others.
    Riddle:
    A houseful, a roomful you couldn't get a spoonful.
