who was very fond of rambling and then staying out late at night.
One night when he was coming home he met a troupe of Leprechauns. These Leprechauns compelled him to join them and when were walking for a long time over hill and dale the man got so tired that the put him on a heifer's back which carried him along the way. When they were a long while walking they reached a lough, which they made the heifer leap, with the man on his back. The man said "If you had to leap to the middle it would have been a good leap". When he awoke in the morning he was on the heifers back in the middle of the lake.
