    Cure for a Sore Throat
    1. Boil a handful of dandelions and rub the juice on the throat.
    2. Fill a stocking with heated salt and tie it around the neck.
    3. Dissolve salt in water and gargle the throat with it.
    4. Dissolve alum in water and gargle the throat with it.
    5. Fill stocking with heated onions and tie it around the throat.
    Cures for Mumps
    1. It is a cure to put the horse’s wiskers [sic] on the person having mumps and lead him to a spa well and let him drink like a horse.
    2. Sprinkle flour on face.
    3. Put donkey’s wiskers [sic] on person and lead him to stream which flows to the south and let him drink like a donkey.
    Cure for Measels
    1. Drink nettle tea.
