    cabbage stalk is brought into operation. By blowing through the keyhole the house is soon filled with smoke.
    Christmas.
    Candles are lighted in all the windows of the house on Christmas Eve as light to anybody who may be wandering or homeless.
    Evening tea is usually accompanied by apples and currant bread. The person who gets the ring in the homemade scone will be married before next Xmas.
    Attendance at church and fowl for dinner are the only things that mark Xmas day.
    Houses are decorated with holly.
