“Long ago the people made crosses on Saint Bridget's eve.”
Long ago the people made crosses on Saint Bridget's eve. They are made from rushes and hung up in the houses on Saint Bridget's day.The people make crosses on Saint Patrick's day. The were made of green and red and blue ribbons which were stuck to a piece of paper and worn on Saint Patrick's day. The Sunday before Easter Sunday every person takes a bunch of palms to Mass. The priest blesses them because the holy women of Jerusalem threw palm branches before Our Lord when he passed through the city.- Collector
