- We have quite a number of local cures made from herbs.
A cure for a burn is made from briar leaves, which are dried in an oven, the yolk of an egg when fried, and unsalted butter. All are mixed up into an ointment. After a few days it can be used on a very clean bandage.
The juice of a dandelion root boiled taken every morning is a cure for rheumatism and is very good for chest diseases.
When seven sons are born in a family one after another and no girl between each son and when the seventh son is born a worm is dug with a spade and put into his hand he will have the charm for ringworm in his hand.(continues on next page)- Collector
