Some of the best known games are :- Tig, hide and go seek, leap-frog, cockshots, chestnuts, football, cricket, and marbles.
They are all outdoor games and can only be played when the weather in dry.
Any number of players can play tig. Some one person must have the tig. He must run after the other players and try to tip one of them. Whoever he tips has then got the tig.
Hide and go seek is nearly the same as tig. All the players except one go away and hide somewhere and the one who is caught first has to look for them then.
In the same of leap-frog all the players except one stand in a line and the other ones tries to jump over them all.
For cock shots a bottle is set on a wall and stones are thrown at it. Whoever breaks the bottle first wins the game.
