- Sean the bone setter was a native of Beaufort Kerry. (He was a neighbour of the late J.J.Boyle of Beaufort and Londonderry).
Sean was good at the job and had also a "charm".
They said in Kerry that once he cured a broken bone without seeing his patient. He broke a branch of the wild rose and repeated his "charm",
While doing so the patient who was at home suffered great pain. But the bone "set". They say that the two pieces of dog rose joined up also.
