Maolmurrough was very sorry, and he allowed her to be buried in the same grave as her lover O'Boyle, and he put a Tombstone over them.
(see poem on this subject further on) - One day Maolmurrough was going to Mass. He met the devil in the form of a yellow stick (bata buidhe). Maolmurrough grasped the stick and it turned into a little old man. He told Maolmurrough to go home and not to go to Mass, and that he would give him the stick. Maolmurrough did this.
Then there came a great flock of crows and lit on his head. He became very angry and waved his magic stick, and they fell dead except one old crow with one white wing, and she screamed "we will get you for this."
After this he was down at Hornhead and he fell very ill. His soldiers gathered round him to help him, but the old white crow and many others came and attacked the soldiers(continues on next page)- Collector
