  1. Long years ago there was a cargo boat named the Bolton lost at Port-na Blagh. All the crew were saved and the goods were carted to Dunfanaghy.
    There was also a battle ship lost at Tory in 1884 named the Wasp. They were going in to collect rates. The Tory people were so poor that they could not pay their rates and the government were sending their men to collect them. I believe they never payed rates since. The crew were all lost except one man who jumped clear of the rocks. The bodies were washed ashore all around the coast. Four or six were washed in at Port-na-Blagh and others at Marble Hill. The coast guards took possession of them at Port-na-Blagh and locked them in their boat house, and those of the bodies that were washed in at Tory were taken to
