- There are three graveyards in the parish, in Meevagh, Umlagh, and Carrigart. People are buried in all of them. There is an old graveyard in Drimdutton (Drumdutton) that is not used now. It is about one hundred years since people were buried there. The graveyards are all square. There are ruins of churches in Meevagh and Umlagh. The Umlagh graveyard is on a slope towards the west. There are trees growing in them. The tombstones are of granite or marble. It is in the south corner of Meevagh graveyard that the unbaptised children are buried.A lot of people from the district who die in foreign countries are not taken home but are buried abroad. When this is done their friends have to buy a plot in a cemetery.(Told by Mandy McGettigan, Drimlackagh)
