o'clock at night it is a sign of bad luck.
It is said if a hen starts to crow it is a sign of bad luck. It is said if a swallow builds her nest near your house and goes away and leave it, it is also a sign of bad luck.
If a hen lays an egg above an ordinary size, it is a sign of good luck. If you are going a journey and meet :-
    One magpie is for sorrow,
    Two for joy,
    Three for a wedding,
    Four for a boy,
    Five for silver,
    Six for gold,
Seven for a secret never to be told.
It is said if you saw wild geese flying towards the hills, it is a sign of bad weather.
