- Forges are of great interest to children. The following is a little verse taken from the famous poem, "The Village Blacksmith," which tells to some extent how interesting a place a forge is :
The children coming home from school look in at the open door,
They love to see the flaming forge and hear the bellows roar.
And watch the burning sparks that fly like chaff from a thrashing floor.
They generally ask the blacksmith a great many questions regarding what he is making, and what the various tools are used for.(continues on next page)- Collector
