- There are six forges in this district one in Church St, on ein the Bridge End, one in Ardrummond, one in Aughnish, one in the Cairn, and there is also one in the Clooney. The one in the Bridge End belongs to Mr. Donaghy. It is situated at the head of the Bridge End on the road-side. The one in Church St belongs to Mr. White. It is situated at the back of Mr. White's house. The one in Ardrummond belongs to Mr. Galbraith. It is situated on the Ardrummond Rd. The one in Aughnish belongs to Mr. Thompson. It is situated on the Aughnish Rd. The one in the Clooney belongs to Mr. Mills. It is situated on the Milford Rd.
The roof of the forge in the Bridge End is made of wood the door is also made of wood and divides into two parts.
