    and she spun all the yarn for our stockings. She died last September and our spinning wheel has not been used since.
    There is an old spinning wheel in almost every house in the district but they are not all used.
    People wear special clothes on special occasions. After the death of a near relative people wear black clothes; white is usually worn by the brides at weddings.
