    or boiled eggs. They got porridge again for their supper.
    Some people had no milk to drink at times and others had lots.
    In olden times the people did not eat their potatoes at the table. They emptied them into a basket and everyone sat around the basket and enjoyed the meal. The table was usually placed beside the window.
    Long ago the people had only three kinds of bread, Boxty bread, Potato bread, and Oaten bread.
    Sometimes men went out to the bay in a boat to catch fish.
    My grandmother remembered when tea first came to this parish. It was bought first in ounces and it was only at special times
