    the graveyard.
In the townland of Gortnamonagh near where the Sweeneys live there is an old graveyard. Old people in the district remember children who died before they were christened to be buried in a small garden there but nowadays it is not used.
Last year some men were doing repairs to a road which runs alongside the graveyard and they dug up a lot of men's skulls.
It is said that there was a great battle fought there long ago and that this was the burial grounds. The McSweeneys who owned Morass castle buried their dead in one of the Islands in Morass ferry. One year the McKemeys set potatoes on the Island and when digging them they dug up bones.
