- The name of our townland is Kiltyfergal. There are ten families in it which comprise about 40 people. Arnold is the most common name. The houses are nearly all newly built and have slated roofs. There is one old man named Andy Witter in our district who is over 90 years of age. There used to be more houses in in our district but they are in ruins now. The people who owned them emigrated to America. The land is good and sloping towards the River Finn which flows by the foot of our farm.
