I came to this old shanty in August twenty four,
The Carn bus conveyed us and dumped me at the door,
Along with I and Rowdilm, and I don't know how many more,
For they cleared out Carn poorhouse, we were shifted by the score.

When I settled in Stranorlar here I came in touch with the derelicts of every part
