- There are not very many local pe [sic] poets. James Mac Laughlin Tievebrack and Mick Mac [?] Rory Ballybun are the poets known about this district.James Mac Laughlin is about fifty nine years of age. The townland that he lives in is between Castlefin and Castlederg about three miles from Castlederg, Castlefin. He lives along the road called “Mathew’s road.”Mick Mac Rory lives about a mile from Castlefin. He lives along the main leading from Castlefin to Castlederg. It is called the “Ballybun road.” He is about thirty five years of age.The poems that James Mac Laughlin wrote are-:
