- The (bogslide) year of the bogslide was a very wet yearIt started on the hill above Paddy Caterson and went down the hill as far as there was a slope.It was Francis Kelly of Ballybun that heard it bustling. He was coming from a dance in Goe Youngs of the Raws. He stopped in Baddy [?] Catersons and if he had not been going to it, they would have been drowned.When he got to the house they were sleeping and he rose them. So they run and left the house.
